My experience with having a tumor was very sudden. It was found by accident when I went to get an X-ray of my ribs because I had though that I had broken one. After being diagnosed, I realized how precious life really is. I also found out how many friends I had that really cared for me. It made us all realize that in the blink of an eye anything can happen. My family and I have faced many challenges since the diagnosis, the biggest one: going to find answers and coming up empty-handed each time. Only wanting to fight, this became very difficult on both me and my family. As the months passed, we were more accepting of the belief that everything happens for a reason, even if we’ll never know what that reason is. Living life with the constant worry of a tumor makes one realize just how precious life is. I live my life day to day to its fullest.
